About Ava

Ava Faith is a 19-year-old singer, songwriter, musician, performer, and producer from Miami, Florida, currently living in New Orleans. She has a distinct voice that she’s developed from over a decade of singing and her experience as a performer, which began at the age of 5 when she decided she was going to be a professional singer. From that point on, she never looked back. Her earliest opportunities came from musical theater camps, school/church choir, singing contests, and performing at fundraising events. At the age of 9, she started taking lessons with a professional vocal coach, began landing musical theater lead roles, and started singing the national anthem for various sports events. When she was 12, she was invited to sit in on a Jazz Jam which opened her to a whole different genre. The musicians were impressed with her singing and presence and began helping her learn to improvise and perform with a band. Over time, she was invited to perform as a featured artist. With jazz chops under her belt, she started winning singing competitions and getting invited to perform at more venues. She decided to give all her focus on jazz studies and vocals, piano, and guitar. When she started writing her own music, she was faced with a choice to either continue down the path as a jazz vocalist or forge ahead with creating her own music. She chose the latter, starting with taking songwriting and production classes at the University of Miami. Along with these classes, she began working with a recording studio and several exceptional musicians to develop her own sound. Over the last year, she has continued to work with the University of Miami and taken music business classes at Berklee College of Music and NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music Summer High School program. She currently attends Loyola University, New Orleans. Her music continues to evolve but can best be described as an eclectic mash-up of different pop, rock, alternative, and psychedelic styles that reflect her influences and her musical journey.
